Teddy Wilson
Teddy
Wilson was born in New York City, New York in 1948 graduated from
New York University in Business Administration and also graduated
from the University of Martial Arts & Sciences with Master
degree and PhD in Zen Psychology. He is the retainer of the level
Kyoshi Shihan 8th Degree Black Belt in Kaizen Aikijitsu, 8th Degree
Black Belt in Shang fu Shang Chinese Karate, 8th Dan in Kaizen
Ryu Kenjutsu and a 8th Dan in Black Dragon Aikijitsu and a 7th Dan in Chinese Goju Karate
and a 7th Dan Miito Ryu Kenjutsu. He was nominated to the 1st
International Budo America Magazine Hall of Fame 2005 and voted
Aikijitsu Grand Master of the Year 2005. He has been practicing
martial arts for the past 46 years. He is Turkey’s President
and representative for The International Budo Sport federation
which is recognized in thirty-three countries, He represent Aikido
and Aikijitsu and he was also a member of the World Budo Federation
and has sit on the board of directors and representative for Turkey
and United States in Aikido and Aikijitsu Arts, and he was also
a member of the Technical Advisory Committee. He is also recognized
and was promoted to 8th Dan in Aikijitsu by the World Martial Arts Foundation and The
Dutch Association of Tae kwon do Instructors and Teachers of Korean
and Japanese Martial Arts. He has been teaching and lecturing
in Turkey for the past 13 years in grade schools, universities
and corporations. He has taught private classes and seminars in
Holland, England, Paris and Spain. He owns his own school in Istanbul,
Turkey called Club Aiki the Far Eastern Arts Wellness Center,
where he continue to create a sense of awareness towards martial
arts and the development of his students both mentally, physically
and spiritually.
Apart from his continued efforts in reaching the youth community
of Istanbul through his dojo, over the years he has transferred
his experience in these martial arts to eager students, and has
taught many within an age range of 6 to 70; some of which have
become teachers of Kaizen Aikijitsu & Chinese Karate arts
today. However, he has reached the point where he feels that his
teaching needs to be expressed in a different form and reach larger
groups of the society through creative awareness programs towards
the philosophy concepts and the benefits of the martial arts training.
For this he has moved to a 470 meter sq new training center (Dojo).
